Indonesia, here we are!
We landed in this glorious slice of paradise five weeks ago, and we’re absolutely loving it. I’ve always had a soft spot for Indonesia and my desire to explore it in greater depth hasn’t stopped since my first visit about seven years ago. Back then, I knew I’d return, but this time with an “extended leave” kind of vibe. It’s like fate heard our cries for sambal and nasi goreng!
In just five weeks, we’ve dropped anchor around 20 times. That’s four different places a week. It’s safe to say we’ve seen a lot, though our brains are currently in “buffering mode,” trying to process it all. Luckily, we’re parked in Sorong for the next five weeks, giving us a chance to breathe. Well, sort of… because we’ve just decided to leave the boat for two weeks to wander off to Raja Ampat and polish up our ridiculously rusty diving skills.
While we’re there, we’ll spend time with locals, munch our way through as many warungs (local eateries) as humanly possible, and indulge in a bit of rejuvenation. The laptops will be swapped for books, magazines, and—gasp—actual sleep! Sure, we’re behind on blogs and vlogs, but it’s the silly season, and winding down is essential.
That said, we’ve been pumping out weekly content on the website (blogs), YouTube, and Instagram for the past two months. So, while we’re off the grid, you’ve got plenty to keep you entertained. Grab a cuppa, dive into some stories, or binge-watch our videos. Oh, and don’t forget to name-drop us while nibbling on Christmas treats with family and friends. 😊

It’s known for coral reefs and dive sites such as Bunaken National Park, the Togian Islands and Wakatobi National Park.
